The Center for Health Informatics expects to include partners in every healthcare facet, including:

1. medical and informatics researchers at universities and research labs;
2. healthcare providers such as hospitals, clinics, physicians, nurses and other professionals;
3. private and public insurers;
4. pharmaceutical and device manufacturers; and
5. patients and other stakeholders.

Founding partners are:

• St. Johns Medical Center in Santa Monica, California;

• USC Information Sciences Institute in Marina del Rey, California; and

• University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois

Several other initial partners have not yet been formally announced.
